ORLANDO, Fla. – Theme park wars are once again heating up as Universal’s Epic Universe continues to expand its reach. With plans for over 1,300 additional acres, Universal Orlando is set to redefine the theme park experience even before its grand opening. The original park will span 700 acres, but the additions promise a vast array of new attractions and experiences.

Epic Universe will feature five distinct "worlds," including Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon on Berk Island, and Dark Universe. However, the question arises: what will the additional acres be used for?

Theme park analysts speculate that it could host public attractions such as a mini water park or a second entertainment complex akin to CityWalk. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Earlier this year, SKYFOX conducted an aerial inspection of the construction site, offering a bird’s-eye view of the highly anticipated theme park. From the elevated vantage point, observers could spot what appeared to be a new roller coaster and hotel, among other potential attractions. Universal Studios had previously released information about the park’s upcoming attractions, with the roller coaster under construction resembling Starfall Racers, touted as the park’s "most thrilling roller coaster experience" featuring dual launches reaching speeds of up to 62 mph and heights of up to 133 feet.

Construction also seems underway for a new hotel. The Universal Helios Grand Hotel, boasting 500 rooms and named after the Sun God, promises guests "unique views and their own exclusive park entrance," officials have stated.

Situated at 4700 East Sand Lake Road in Orlando, just a few miles from Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay, the park’s location promises convenience and accessibility for visitors eager to explore Universal’s expanding universe. As the battle for theme park supremacy rages on, Universal’s Epic Universe stands poised to set a new standard for immersive entertainment experiences.
